Twelfth Lesson
The Video Lessons Project

It has been a while since we started, hasn't it? We are now getting to the end of the basic course. The twelfth lesson is the last one of that series, and the next lesson that will be published will open our online lessons project. I will keep filming lessons myself, but from now on every belly dance teacher in the world is welcome to join me and film lessons. We are going to have a great variaty of lessons taught by many different teachers - how exciting is that!
The twelfth lesson deals with "around the world" hip circles, which means - big ones. I want to remind you to start with the basic posture as was taught in the first lesson, and also that learning to belly dance over the internet does not constitute an alternative for taking classes with a teacher. Now go have fun!

The song you hear in this lesson is "Open Doors" from Shem Tov Levy's CD "Circle of Dreams". We already heard a different song from this CD in the forth lesson... You can read more about it and also buy the CD here.

To this lesson I wish to add a video that is only slightly related to belly dance, but is very touching - A man sings a famous  and faboulus song that he transelated from Hebrew to Arabic. May this be a message of peace between Israel and Palestine.

I encourage you to take part in the video lessons project, or if you are a student, tell your belly dance teacher about it and ask her to join. Just think how incredible it can be to have a collection of video lessons by many different teachers, each showing a bit of her specialty! Contact us for more details.
